Gongs: Jack Hawkins: Bronze U11 Boys Foil Imogen Blakely: Silver U13 Girls Foil
We would like to congratulate our cadet fencers for their recent strong showing at the Warwickshire Union age championships which were held on 6th of March this year. Jack Hawkins gained Bronze in the U11 boys, gaining confidence and accuracy as the tournament went on; Immogen Blakely won Silver in U13 girls foil. She fought through her DE’s to reach which she lost through the anrrowest of margins 14-15 after a tough final.
This is a good result for Sutton and a reminder perhaps how how different tournament is from a club night and a good chance to gain feedback on the encouraging skill development of our younger fencers.
