New season starts with a gong!

The new fencing season has started and Sutton Coldfield fencers have participated in the Shropshire open on the 7th and 8th of September. The first Open in September can always be shaky, especially if you haven’t fenced for a while and you haven’t been training over the Summer. This didn’t seem to have stopped Tomas Kazik who took Gold in the men’s Epee. Well done!

Also a shout goes out to Daniel Bullock who got into his first L16 in an open which is a great achievement, even if he had to knock out Sutton’s Giovanni 15-14 who had an excellent pool but succumbed to his club mate. I’m sure Giovanni is gunning (or should that be swording?) for a rematch in the next training session.
